As a recently repatriated expatriate, I’m not quite certain why it is en vogue for a certain demographic of the American population to feel really good about hating-on Florida. Of course it’s valid for some (like my friend MH who told me he literally hates going to the beach). Hey- we’re all entitled to our own preferences and opinions [right, America?] But for others, perhaps it’s just jealousy or a hidden herd-mentality. So for today’s post, some of you may need to put away your judge-guns for a few minutes and give the state of Florida the benefit of the doubt.
